About a week ago I ordered a CED (Competitive Edge Dynamics) timer and some accessories via the Net. That same day I received a confirmation that the order had been received and was being processed. The next day I received an email from UPS giving me the tracking information. It was scheduled for delivery on Friday. On Thursday, 8/6/2009 I checked the UPS tracking page to see if it was still on time. The site said that delivery was still scheduled for Friday but the "package progress" window showed that it had been scanned "arriving" in NJ on 8/3/2009 but that it had not been scanned since. Usually packages show a "departure scan" when they're placed on the truck heading west.

I called UPS and was told that it was still scheduled for delivery on Friday. They had no explanation for the "progress" window still showing it in NJ.

Friday came and went and no package. I called UPS on Saturday and they said that I should call CED and have them put a trace on the package. I could not place that trace because CED would have information that I did not have, such as color, size, etc. of the package.

Sunday I left a phone message on CED's line telling them of the problem and asking them to trace the package. Right after that I called UPS and was told that the package was now scheduled for delivery on Monday. I called CED and left a message telling them to disregard the previous message. On Monday Linda, from CED called. She had gotten the first message and had called immediately, before getting the second one. I told her to disregard the trace.

Monday came and went. No package. I again called UPS and asked where the package was. AGAIN I was told that they did not know and that I should have CED put a trace on it.

This morning (Tuesday) I called CED and spoke to Linda. I told her of my recent conversation with UPS and asked her to put a trace on the package. She said that she would. TWENTY-SEVEN MINUTES later Linda called back. She'd tried to put the trace on the package but said that UPS told her that they'd found the package and that it was scheduled for delivery tomorrow (Wednesday). Linda thanked me profusely for being "so understanding." She asked to be notified immediately if it doesn't arrive tomorrow.

I checked the UPS site and it showed the package arriving at the delivery center near my house this morning so I have high hopes!

If the timer from CED is half as good as the customer service, I'll be very happy.
