Omaha, NE. Alright, Lincoln on Game day Saturdays.
While we celebrate our Declaration of Independence on July 4th, for me there is no more important document in human history than the Constitution, and its Bill of Rights. These documents, produced by the wonderful framers of our brave republic, provide the very foundation for the infant nation that would grow to become the force it is in the world today.

It behooves all of us to remember the hardships and deprivations our county's founders withstood 230 years ago, and the marvelous legacy they left to us. They found injustice upon their society, and they bravely stood up to the most powerful military force in their universe to cast off that iniquity. Their quickly thrown together national army was no match for the British military, and Britain's Hession mercenaries. The Americans put forth militias, rag-tag forces comprised of common and ordinary citizens. Yet these citizens were armed! Poorly trained, and only relied upon as a last resort, the American militias proved, time and again, to be the stopgap effort so desperately needed to allow America's regular forces time to regroup and fortify their positions.

Terrible battles were fought and lost, and yet the Americans fought their British overlords. Many American citizens opposed the war, some even outwardly supported the British cause. Yet the Americans toiled on. Franklin and Jefferson secured the support of the French, Britain's most bitter rival. A six month encampment at Valley Forge proved to be a turning point for the steadfast Americans. Philadelphia was relieved, and the troops who'd spent a bitter six months at Valley forge emerged a trained, disciplined force. It proved too much for the British, and the nation we know as America was born, forged upon the blood of patriot's sacrifice.

It is for this reason we still celebrate the 4th of July today. It's only fitting that you might break a local ordinance, and explode some fireworks. Afterall, this great nation emerged from rebels willing to break the law! So blast an M80 if you have one, and I'll tip my three cornered hat to you, sir!

Happy Independence Day!

Indeed, never forget it was the militia forces that fired the Shots Heard 'Round The World, at Concord Hill and Lexington. The British were moving to capture an armory, the very place the Americans stored their powder and shot. At dawn on April 19, 1775, about 70 armed Massachusetts militia stand face to face on Lexington Green with the British advance guard. A volley of British rifle fire followed by a charge with bayonets leaves eight Americans dead and ten wounded. The British regroup and head for the depot in Concord, destroying the colonists' weapons and supplies. At the North Bridge, in Concord, a British platoon is attacked by militiamen, with 14 casualties. The War is on, freedom beckons!

I am going to celebrate by hanging a new flag, making some bqq......and then in true american fashion shooting something and blowing some stuff up

The 4th

I celebrated early...(because the shop will be closed tomorrow)...by buying a very N-I-C-E '66 production M-94 Winchester and topped it off with a brick of CCI Stingers to burn up in the little Henry .22 levergun that I bought two weeks ago.

God Bless The US!
