Happy Independence Day!

Celebrate our wonderful American independence. Give a thought to those brave souls who bravely stood for their rights and freedom before the most powerful military in the world. Fly your American Glory in honor of those great men that birthed a nation with the certainty "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Celebrate the fact brave men took up arms in defense of their ideals, and that their campaign was ultimately successful.
 
I'd like to celebrate, but I'm too sick with sinus from last night's fireworks to do anything outside.
 
Happy 7/4 from across the pond, and keep staying your ground to preserve the last great bastion of freedom on this Earth.
 
I celebrated by taking my 1903 Springfield out to the range and shot it some. It was made in 1918 and has a 1918 barrel! It shoots just fine despite some pitting from corrosive ammo.

I try to do something like this every 4th just to help me remember our service folks both present and past.

Fixin' to shoot some subsonic .22s in the backyard (into a bullet trap in front of a big tree). Today is one day that the neighbors won't be perturbed with a little popping.
