I'm looking to replace the sub par simmons scope on my savage 110 in 30-06 right now. I'm debating between either a Nikon Prostaff (http://bigtsports.com/Nikon-Team-Realtree-39x40-APG-Nikoplx/M/B000OZW3Y2.htm), or a Bushnell Sportsman (http://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Sportsman-Riflescope-Illuminated-Reticle/dp/B000UI0U34), or a scope I've never heard of. It's called a CenterPoint Adventure Class (http://www.amazon.com/CenterPoint-Adventure-Riflescope-Adjustable-Illuminated/dp/B000PS4CW4). Just looking to see what you've all experienced with any or all of these scopes, and what you would recommend.

I'm especially curious about the centerpoint, as I've never heard of them. Any thoughts/experiences with them would be helpful.

Thanks

I've never heard of that Centerpoint either. However it looks more like a varmint scope (only goes down to 6x, all the way up to 24x). So it might be fine for an introductory/cheap coyote scope or something.

If you're looking to hunt deer/elk etc., you'll want something that goes down to 3x for walking (when you scare something up you'll want to be able to find it as fast as possible in your scope). Between the Nikon and the Bushnell, I'm sure they'll both work, but the Nikon seems to be a little bit higher quality. Make sure it's waterproof/fogproof.
