I see that Century Arms is selling an Enfield 45ACP Carbine. I called them are they are going to be selling for $300. For me add about $20 for shipping and $30 for the FFL transfer. Total would be about $350.
I would LIKE to build one myself, but I can't seem to find an Enfield with a bad barrel that I can get using my C&R for cheap enough. Getting a reciever is no good because I have to go through an FFL and the transfer would cost too much AND I would have to buy a new stock for it as wel. I could alway's use a Turkish mauser, but those don't feed HP ammo. So in short I have a few questions.
1. Is this a good deal?
2. If given $350 would you buy one.
3. Anywhere I can get an Enfield with a relativly good stock and action (don't care about the barrel) for somewhere around $80 or below?
Thanks everyone.
/This gun is REALLY tempting me.
