so I put my newly traded for c308 sporter on paper today, I must have a decent one as it shot 1.5-2 moa consistently. The only problem is it shoots about 16” high at 100 yards. I’ve looked all over the interwebs for a front sight tool for it to no avail.

Anyone know where I can get one or know something that could suffice?

Needle nose pliers works, that is what I used when I had my CETME many years ago IIRC.

needlenose pliers will do it. but....

I wasnt a huge fan of the sights on my cetme, so i cut the old rear sight off and welded on an HK91 drum type. much better, IMO....
it does require a special tool for elevation adjustment too, though. so I guess im no help at all

I have an FR-8 that has similar sights. Couldnt find a sight tool for it, so I took one of those cheap/junk flat blade screwdrivers everyone seems to have around in a drawer (thats about all they are good for, loading up the junk drawer :)) and took a file to it. Took all of about 5 minutes. Works great for something you really only use once.

I had one for my HK rifles. Another tool that gets used once (for each gun anyway and then sits around doing nothing. You really do need them for those sights though. Needle nose and other things "kinda" work, but screw up more than they help.
