Did I stumble on something or was I just the last to know? This combo seems to work pretty well in my 308 with 168 grain A-max bullets. Clearly the powder is useful in 223 rounds too, but has anyone else had good success with it in other calibers? The above combo is as accurate as my 175 grain SMK/IMR 4064 loads at the relatively short ranges I have access to and meters well through my powder measure.

Supplies being what they are, I can’t fully explore these 4 combinations, but as a beginning hand loader with a budget rifle my expectations have been surpassed.

Ah, good to know.

That brings up another coincidence I was curious about. My 175 gr SMK loads have a trajectory that basically matches my 75 gr HPBT 223 loads. Is that intentional? They aren’t identical but are within a couple of inches out to 500 or 600 yards. That’s only for vertical displacement. I imagine the wind pushes the lighter bullets around a bit more.

You can shoot either in some f class events. If there is any wind the 308 will eat its lunch.
