Does anyone remember seeing something like that in the 80's? Like a fixed stock with a full pistol grip but instead of a sling swivel there was just a horizontal slot through the stock?
Sure I remember it. You still see them come up for sale sometimes but Choate changed the style on the fixed shotgun stocks a long time ago. They were pretty thin in the butplate area and not all that comfortable for a shotgun. They still make that style for some of the carbines last time I checked.
You can probably find one innexpensive if you keep an eye out for a little while. Most people want more modern tactical stuff now and ditch the old retro tactical stuff. Gunbroker and Ebay of course but I would think any shotgun forum would be worth checking out.
Personally I miss the old Butler Creek folders but those are too old school for most as well. Those actually locked up nice and remained thin when folded.
