I strolled down to my local gunshop yesterday to pick up a new 1911. After some shopping around I picked up a Charles Daly EFS. I actually had the money for a much more expensive pistol, but I kept gravitating towards the Rock Island Tactical and CD. I know that both pistols are made in the same factory but I pulled the trigger on the Charles Daly. While I was there I picked up 500 rounds of at least 15 year old ammo. Went to the range today and fired all 500 rounds with not a hiccup. The gun is tight as a tick and the only thing I am going to change is installing a wider safety.
