Was in the mood for an AR in the A4 configuration, was thinking of a Delton when I walked into my local shop to ask about transfer fee. He had a CD on the rack in the A4 style with removable carry handle/sight block. The price was 900 and some change, he told me 850 out the door or trade, so i traded a Win model 24 and a colt .32 auto, both had seen better days but still very functional , also thru in some 30 round M16 mags .
The only money in the deal was what I paid for the shotgun 5 years ago which I believe was 200 at the time, got 4 boxes of shells also so now I can go sight it in. I,m still in the army so that,ll be a breeze. Kind of a companion to the AK I got from the same shop last year, also in trade.
CD is a good name in firearms and they started this AR line sometime this year. Does anyone else have a CD M4 carbine and how have they been for you?

In the AR thread there is a guy that posted a picture of his. You may check there. It seems like he encouraging things to say.

Fit and finish on the two I've handled at the shop has been superb. All the little things like dual heat shield M4 hand guards, F marked F height FSBs, M4 feed ramps properly machined in upper to match M4 bbl extension, properly staked carrier keys, and properly staked buffer tube castle nuts.

The CD D4LE looks to be a great value with all the extras like H buffer, 1:7 chrome lined bbl, etc.

Do you know if the barrel twist is 1:7 or 1:9? If 1:7 then you got a D-M4LE and the price you got is pretty good. If 1:9 then you got a D-M4 and the price is about right.

CD is very serious about being a player in the serious-use AR market. If we can get M. Kassnar to a couple of training classes I think they'll be even further along the path.
