Well, if I spend more than $500 then I might as well have bought a CMMG bargain bin AR. Then I'll look stupid, and besides, I don't want to spend that much anyway. What's up with the Polish Tantal, though? Are they alright even though CAI has had their hands on 'em?

No if you spend more than $500 you will have twice the gun and ammo than a bargin bin AR.

They are an interesting Kalashnikov variant. The handguard retainer is unique to the rifle (read: not really compatible with AK furniture).

I'd recommend buying a Bulgarian 5.45 kit and grabbing your compliance parts and finding a build party.

After that, buying a WASR2 in person'll do just fine.
