The buys on the Rossi Mod 971s are super reasonable.
Very sturdy and dependable, well worth the $$$$$.

Of course, the Ruger reigns between the two.

Hi, got the wife 1 of these Rossi M971 but with a 2 1/2" barrel . I love shooting this revolver. I'm sure the 4" are just as dependable ! WVleo

Ruger wins, hands down! Justification? That never stopped me!

Normally I would agree with Ruger being higher quality. But I used to own one of the 2" barrel .357M Rossi's and it was one of the sweetest revolvers ever. Stainless steel, 6 shot and was real nice. I carried it for a while until I traded it for a Taurus 99. I definitely wouldn't mind having another one.

I have the Rossi 971 in stainless that I bought new 5 or 6 years ago for 189. It's been just dandy a gun, although I've only put a few hundred rounds through it.

I think I'd be willing to pay 100 more for a Ruger though.
