"cheney" blackpowder ID & info

Hello everyone,

so I recently bought a 54. Cal black powder rifle. the only marks on the barrel are 54 Cheney on the left side and 370 on the right side it is a percussion cap, beautiful tiger striped stock. I have struggled to find any information on it because when I type in Cheney, I get the old VP and his hunting accident.
I looking for load data and general where the gun came from.

Previous manufacturer located in Waldron, IN. Cheney Rifle Works changed its name to Wilderness Rifle Works, located in Waldron, IN. Cheney manufactured rifles have similar values to comparable models in the Wilderness Rifle Works section.

Maybe Wilderness can tell you whether it is a round ball, bullet, or sabot gun, and what to load it with.

Well there was a short discussion right here along "The Road" on THR. It was about the Cheney Gun Works back in 2007.
