I just received a Used Pioneer pellet pistol which shoots to the left. The front sight looks like it is turned to the right. Has anybody tried to adjust one of these sight? I need advice Please

Thank You

Ray

FORS. Front Opposite, Rear Same

To change the point of impact, you adjust the Front sight in the Opposite direction you want the point of impact to move on the target.
To change the point of impact, you adjust the Rear sight in the Same direction you want th epoint of impact to move on the target.

Since your pistol is shooting left, you would want to move the front sight to the left to move the point of impact to the right on the target. However, I don't think that the front sight is adjustable on that pellet pistol.

So, to move the point of impact to the right on the target, you would adjust the rear sight to the right.

Hi JohnKSa I should have explained my problem more I am trying to find out how to turn or remove the front sight on is Pioneer air pistol It shoots to the left and I adjust the rear sight all the way to the right & only helped a little The front sight looks like it is turned to the right about the same thickness as the blade Is this sight just pressed on, or does it also have splines to line it up with

Thanks for your reply & help

I don't know. I'm not even sure that the front sight is removable in that manner. Looks like the sight "band" could be integral to the barrel--machined into the metal.

You could try very carefully bending the front sight blade over to the left so that the top of the sight is where it needs to be, but it's entirely possible that the sight would break rather than bend. Also, the sight picture is going to be a bit odd with a bent front sight.

I took the barrel off and laid it flat in my 20 ton press C clamped the receiver end of the barrel to one of the press blocks and clamped the press block down to the press Lined the sight up so the ram would press on the side of the sight ramp and pressed the sight to the left until I heard a snap and then stopped The sight moved to the left and is now leaning to the left and the pistol still shoots to left but not as much and I have the rear sight adjusted all the way to the right I am thinking the barrel may be bent I am checking for a bent barrel next.

Are you a right hand shooter? It could be your trigger finger putting a side load to the left when pulling the trigger. All my hand guns shoot to the left!:)

I have not seen or heard about one of those for years. Basically a Chinese clone of the very well built Weilrauch HW70.Not sure if sight adjustment is going to help. Most likey it is at the end of it's life. I would guess the spring is now twangy and low power. I do not think you can move the front sight. I have shot a Weilrauch to death and thinking about another one. Saw one on sell at Airguns of Arizona for around $250.00. You might save yourself some frustration and just get the German quality.
