While looking for the end of the Internet I ended up on Sohu.com, a Chinese site. Using Win XP sp2 to translate, it appears to be a series of WWll German art in leaflet form. It was dropped on allied soldiers to lower morale.

I think that's what it says. A series of 11 cartoon type artwork if anyone interested. Never seen any of this before now.

As an integral part of psychological warfare, war and conflict in the dissemination of leaflets topic is an effective means of the psychological impact. During World War II, German institutions, a large number of distributed publicity leaflets pornography to provoke the us, France, Britain armies, soldiers and rear of the relationship between population, the use of religious and ethnic influence on the enemy. Its main purpose is to weaken the enemy soldiers firm will enable them to choose their actions and the validity into question.

War until late 1944 and early 1945, the allied forces in the European defense, in Germany in the front withdrawal, German has become more desperate. More pornographic leaflets, trying to slow down the pace of the Allied march. Germany has invested coding e leaflets against Allied morale. It was in the front all day to stay in the trenches of life is very monotonous US soldiers from the sky more leaflets for these idle fields and the American soldiers in wild joy, and some soldiers to collect the complete set of "Georgia series" leaflets everywhere! Exchange. In short, the German air operations for the US army distributed leaflets in the battlefield add a lot of fun.

What I really LOVE about that site is not the posters (which I've mostly seen before), but the fact that, right under them can be found...

A paid advertisement for VOLKSWAGEN, complete with seductive colors and eye-catching animation.

A paid advertisement for VOLKSWAGEN

When I was there it was a Mazda. Have to go back now, hard to read the translated Chinese.

Advertising a Ford Fiesta now. Globalization is alive and well.

Are the Chinese distributing these WWII leaflets? Where? I'm having a hard time understanding the translation.

Thanks.

I have 2-3 that America used in Vietnam, and 2-3 that the N.V.A. used to leave around for Americans to find. They are amusing.

What's funnier is that the Iraqis tried to do this too (before aljazeera helped them get into the "Direct propaganda to western media" international BS peddling).

They would pick a celebrity and broadcast audio saying they X celebrity was sleeping with our soldiers' wives. Problem was, they picked the wrong american celebrity... they chose Bart Simpson LOL.

I don't think they are distributing unless you can cut and paste. From what I can tell it's some sort of news series on WWll with pictures.

If you play around on the site you'll come across several series of photos from Chinese in WWll. Many with women in training, some with rifles.

Seems to be steered towards good things about fearless leader.

I have WIN XPsp2, I right click anywhere on the page and the drop down menu has a "Translate to English" command. Still a bit out of wack but basically understandable.

Urban legend, debunked on www.snopes.com

Funny, but not actually true. Iraqi propaganda wasn't quite that bad, but not terribly impressive either. I've seen a few Iraqi propaganda flyers from the Gulf War, and I'm pretty sure the cartoonist for any community college newspaper could have done a better job. Examples shown here: http://www.psywarrior.com/iraqprop.html

The Psywarrior.com site has tons of great leaflets, give it a look.
