...Chris Reeve Knives (or CRK, for short) has been machining precision blades out of its Boise shop for over 30 years. Its flagship product is unequivocally the Sebenza, a folding pocket knife that it first released in 1991. In 1984 Reeve’s side job and passion grew into a full-time occupation; he moved operations to Boise, Idaho, with Anne, his wife, heading up the business end in 1989. I have had the pleasure of meeting Chris a few times both in South Africa and in the USA. Strangely enough I Still do not own one of his folders but do have one of his one piece Shadow fixed blades.

I too have never owned one of his folders. Frankly they just don't appeal. I have a number of well used knives from his One Piece Line. I've had folks tell me I shouldn't use them as they are "collectable". Well yea, I collect things so I can use them. Leaving any tool to languish in a safe or display case just tortures it's soul.
