Yeah, much better the gun grabbing is done by a non-socialist statist of some other flavor. That will make it all so much better.
It is less likely, and I suspect you know that. There is a huge difference between the aggressively pursued anti-gun agenda that will be given to us by the hard left, vs. whatever would be on the other side. There will at least be fierce opposition to anti-RKBA activity from the folks that supported the republican candidate.
The candidate on the other side will have nothing but unbridled support form their base. If you do not see that one is less likely to succeed in anti-RKBA activity than the other, I've got nothing left to persuade you.
When "non-perfect " candidate X is faced with an anti-gun Satan on the other side of the ballot, are you staying home? I'm not. The 3.6 million that did gave us 4 more years of this crap. There is more at stake than RKBA.
I am a senior executive at a financial services firm. Two years ago, this president proposed, got, and signed legislation that put my company out of business. 26 jobs gone, including mine. Now my new company spends the MAJORITY of our time navigating an impossible labyrinth of new regulation, with another round of massive changes coming in January. These are real lives, being destroyed by real policies that do real damage.
Sit on your principles next election if you like, but after being kicked in the groin by this government over the last 5 years, I will not be kept from the polls. And yes, on these other issues, Romney would have been ENTIRELY better.
