A bit of googling seems to indicate that this is a bit cheaper version of a Heritage rough rider. I saw a used 22mag one today at a LGS for about 70 bucks cheaper than what a similiar heritage goes for around here. I have been wanting a 22 plinking pistol for awhile now, and was leaning toward 22mag, just for versatility's sake. Not like I could get ammo to feed it at the moment, but the price seems right.

So the question is has anyone had experience with one, and if so would you recommend it?

Two different companies. I recommend the Cimmaron. My friend bought a Heritage and it shot OK, it had a goofy safety on the frame next to the hammer.

Yeah my bad on the initial description I was just comparing it to a similar more well known gun not trying to say it was from the same company. But I do like to hear someone prefers it over a more expensive option.

Both have good and bad reviews online.

Neither will probably last you as long as a Ruger Single Six would under heavy use but then again, they're around 1/3 of the price.

Noting the $70 difference in price, I'd say go with the cheaper one.
