Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky reloaders it looks as though we’ll be getting a new option soon enough. Sportsman’s Warehouse bought out the Field & Stream from Dick’s in Crescent Springs off of Buttermilk Pike. I can’t wait to see what they actually put in the place.

I really like our sportsman’s warehouse, they stock a pretty decent selection of reloading supplies. They currently have primers as cheap as I’ve seen in a long time, at $23.99/k. They ship to store for free for local pickup too.

Good news. I’m a little farther away than Cincy but that would be closer than another non gun related store I used to do business with regularly

Heck yea! Loved the one we had in Arizona Will definitely drive down and check this one out after it opens. They have quite a bit of reloading stuff (if its like the one in Arizona)

Sportsman's Warehouse bought a bunch of Dick's Field and Stream stores, including one in Washington PA. I checked it out a couple of weeks ago, and it seemed to be pretty much the same as F&S was. Just the basics reloading wise. Hopefully they will ramp up the inventory.

The SW in Lexington is the only place left within my normal circuit I’m aware of that sells powder in anything other than 1lb bottles. It would be great to have one in NKY as well.

Latest story I saw on it was Sportsman’s bought 2 locations in this last deal. Inventory and all, and were hoping to keep most employees. Hopefully they expand the reloading selection to Lexington’s selection, especially since I live a mile and a half away. But my work periodically gets me towards Cleveland where I can stop in at Fin, Feather, and Fur. So it’s good to have options.

They’ve not given an opening date that I’ve seen yet. Other than “soon”

including one in Washington PA

I stopped by there too a few weeks ago and talked to the guy in the reloading area. Told him about the store in Arizona and all the reloading gear they had and he said they have plans to bring in a bunch of stuff to bolster their reloading section. Not sure of the timeline for that as it was in late Jan when I stopped in.

Hi...
Same thing happened when Sportsman Warehouse took over the Field and Stream store in Harrisburg PA.
Same inventory...still selling the Field and Stream branded items.
I check back in periodically but I am losing faith that their selection and/or prices will improve.
We have a few local shops that have a better selection of reloading equipment and supplies and better prices.

I like the Sportsman’s Warehouse in Roanoke, Va. but the last few times I’ve been there their reloading shelves were mostly empty.

Dick's adamant anti-gun rhetoric while selling stores full of guns and ammo out of Field & Stream stores they own was the biggest oxymoron business move I have seen.

They alienated gun owners who boycotted Dick's and Field & Stream stores while still pissing off anti-gun/animal rights crowd because they sold guns and hunting stuff out of Field & Stream stores ... an act of talking out the side of their mouths.

What were Dick's CEO and executives thinking?

They're not thinking but trying to save both faces.
