Hi all,
I'm settling on what my summer project should be, and I am really liking the looks of the Swiss rifles, 96/11 through K31. I have heard recently that the 96/11s are capable of delivering exceptional accuracy, and like the K31s, they intrigue me. Anyway, eventually I would like an optic on whichever rifle, and I was wondering if the St. Marie style scope mount would work on the 96/11 as well (if it works at all) as it does on the K31. Are there reciever geometry differences that make this impossible? I have heard great things about the rifle, and high praises for the mount, and I would like to get them together.
Thanks for the help,
-Chris
Also, post script- Simpsons Ltd. has many 96/11s available right now, most all having "very good" bores, which are bested only by "excellent" ones. What can I expect out of these "VG" bores on the 96/11s as to accuracy compared to the "Excellent" bores on a K31? Are they still capable of comparable accuracy?
