What's a quick and easy way to clean using FP-10? Could I just bathe the gun in it and scrub down all surfaces with a nylon brush then wipe off the grime and excess oils with a paper towel? Then use some cleaning patches in the nooks and crannies?
On the surfaces which were touched by FP-10 and I can't get to without doing a detailed strip, would it be safe to just leave it on there?
I want to prepare it for long term storage. I'm going to place it in a Cortec Bullfrog VCPI gun bag and be stored in a cool and dry place.
I don't think I'll need or want to use grease or anything that'll harden and be a pain to get off when I'm ready to use it again.
I don't even want to take the grips off, just a quick, easy and effective way to clean it.
I also saw something which might be even quicker. It's a dunk it container from Cylinder & Slide. Seems like you can just drop your gun in there, scrub away, take out and dry. That the cleaning solution also has a lubricant, so you don't even need to oil it afterwards. Since the gun is litterally dunked in it, all the cleaning and lubricating solution can get into all the areas, some areas you just can't get to and if it's safe to just let those areas dry.
