Cleaning Media

Is there a preference to brass cleaning media. What type works the best on pistol brass. Sorry if this has been asked a bunch of times but I couldn't find anything about it.

Walnut cleans better.
Corn Cob polishes better.

Just make sure it is not too coarse of a media. More critical on bottle neck rifle brass.

There are also wet medias. Stainless, ceramics and possibly some others. There is also a chemical sold by Iosso.

So have you verified the old wisdom that you can't polish a turd?

I hope you didn't learn this the hard way. The FIRST thing I thought when I had my tumbler full of corn husk was that my cats would think it was a litter box. Heck, they even sell corn husk as cat litter.
