For those who have done this, they're asking for a "copy" of birth certificate. When one contacts the hospital of their birth for a birth certificate, the hospital sends a certified copy with a state stamp at the bottom.

Is the CMP asking for that "copy", or is it sufficient for me to simply copy my "copy?"

Also, they're wanting verification of marksmanship or other firearms related activity. How about a copy of my concealed carry permit? They don't say a CCL is sufficient, but here in OK the CCW instructor had to watch each of us handle/shoot a firearm.

thanx

A copy of the copy is all they want.

They don't say a CCL is sufficient,

Yes they do, it is right on their website.

To make things real simple, all you need is a copy of your birth cert, a copy of your CCL and membership in an affiliated organization.

Thanx.

One more question. If it shows up when my Mrs is at home, can I stick a lampshade on it and tell her it's for my man cave?

With the CMP program, is this where you can purchase an M1 Garand? How much do they run? Thanks

A copy of the copy you get from your hall of records is suffcient. That proves age and US citizenship. You could also do this with a copy of your passport. The CCL on hands training requirement should suffice for CMP.

The "Special" Grade RM1. $995.

I think that is what Im going to order also...at least I think. Just waiting on my 'credentials' from Texas State Rifle Association. Also going to send a copy of my DD 214. Would really like to make a trip to the Alabama store.
