I didn't know a handgun with silencer could flip a person out of their chair head over heels and dump them three feet behind.

As if all the noise from the chair flipping and person cartwheeling head over heels wasn't enough to arouse suspicion?

Switchblades are illegal in Washington state.
I can carry a gun in my pocket but a switchblade knife I can be arrested.

In Washington state you could own a suppressor but it was illegal to use it.
That finally was changed and now you can use it.

My argument is always that a criminal can go spend $5 on an oil filter at any automotive store and have an illegal silencer, they aren't going to spend thousands of dollars and a background check to get one. I like the pillow comment too.
 
They are so worried about how this will impact "safety," and yet they still aren't saying anything about all of those criminals being pardoned that are convicted of gun crimes...?
 
The saddest thing about this (IMO) is that some knucklehead who believes CNN is a credible news source has seen this (the CNN report), shared it on their social media outlet of choice, and it has now been shared around the world several times with nobody looking into the veracity of these statements.

"Their" total shock after the November 8th Catastrophe--for both the White House and Congress-- means that this is only the beginning of the deceptions and fake news driven by 'a certain Minority party's' desperation.

The more they can use any Gun Issue as a means to create cheap, sensational, fabricated stories, the more it can become apparent that logic is avoided in their frantic appeals to the vast numbers of gun owners who vote in More than one political party.
 
Well its usually so embellished with bull that the fake crap is seen easily. Common sense although not so common tells you that they are reporting only part of the story, the part that twists it to their version. Is half the truth gonna help you in court, of course not you might as well put your spin on the subject if youre not gonna tell the whole truth.
 
I guess movies need to have a label or warning that states " No people were actually killed in the making of this movie . What you see on the screen
does not represent reality" Could pop up on the screen at intervals throughout the movie to remind the snowflakes.
 
All in all, for a CNN article, it is pretty balanced. More so than I expected.

We're not dealing in logic here, emotion is their stock in trade. :cuss:

Alternatively, just disregard it and don't give them the traffic. From a lot of the responses here, it feels good to go read the piece then come back and join the circle jerk about how Democrats are stupid blissninny communists. But CNN is an entertainment company first that gets paid for eyeballs regardless of political stripe. To the 30-and-under-crowd from all political backgrounds, they're about as relevant as TMZ when it comes to news. Maybe the youth are onto something...

Hopefully the rabid anti-Sec. Amendment crowd will assume that they are smarter than the young generation, and grossly underestimate this generation's ability to distinguish between rational and irrational debates.

The news spot is over the top ridiculous with all the movie clips of murder after movie murder. The initial host states that the Republicans want to do away with what she says in regards to silencers... "currently there is a $200,000 tax and a lengthy background check to purchase one. FAKE NEWS.

They do all they can to tie suppressor use to murder by stealth.

Actually, I found the resort to be rather balanced for CNN. The "must have" comment was clearly directed at movie assassins, for example. They gave the pro silencer side a good chance to express their views and the anti silencer argument presented was really weak

It's a shame other news sites are not covering this and calling out the integrity behind those promoting fake news stories like this. They are blatantly misrepresenting the facts.
