A fellow shooter informed me there is an exploratory committee at a local college that is studying the possibility of allowing (promoting?) faculty CCing. The chairman of the committee supports gun rights & CC, and is a supporter of students being allowed to do so, especially since the campus has various locations throughout the area / state and many night classes.

I forwarded him a lot of Massad Ayoob info / links, but I figured they were looking more for information to present to the faculty / administrators to get to the point of allowing CC (since verified).

I did steer him towards the dowloadable PDF at Gun Facts Info, figuring some of the info / references within would help him counter low information (AFA guns & SD) faculty / administrators.

I'm looking for any help I can forward him in his effort to bring CC to the campus(es).

I'm a long-time student of the game for those that have already made the decision to CC, but not so much on presenting info to committees in an effort to establish policies, etc.

I also think (from podcasts) that Sean Maloney of Second Call Defense / Buckeye Firearms Association has been heavily involved in the program to train Ohio teachers on CCing - I may have to try to contact him for info?

Any helpful info / links for the person heading this committee would be appreciated - I'll forward the info to him.

Thanks

Good job, everyone! I have nothing substantial to add that others haven't pointed out.

I wish we could force-feed this information into some people.

''Since at least 1950, all but two public mass shootings in America have taken place where general citizens are banned from carrying guns. In Europe, there have been no exceptions. Every mass public shooting has occurred in a gun-free zone. And Europe is no stranger to mass shootings. It has been host to three of the six worst K-12 school shootings and by far the worst mass public shooting perpetrated by a single individual.''
