Colt Doube action book?

Is there a good book that details the various models of Colt double action revolvers like the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson book does for S&W?
I want to learn more before I dive in and would appreciate your help.

There really is no DA-specific book on Colts.

The best info generally available is to get a copy of R.L. Wilson's book "Colt: An American Heritage".

This is considered by Colt to be the "Official" history of the Colt company, and lists and describes EVERY model of Colt firearm from 1836 to 1985.

As an additional goody, in the back of the book is a complete production date and serial number guide for all Colt firearms.

For pre-WWII Colt firearms, Beldan and Haven's "Colt: 1836 to 1940" pictures all pre-war Colt guns, and includes an interesting 1930's tour of the Colt plant and how a Colt pistol was made.

The Wilson books are available from his web site, and both books are available from Amazon, and other book sellers.

Colt Firearms by Severns is pretty good. It's somewhat dated now and I don't think it has the newer DA trooper action based guns.
