Can someone tell me the mfg. date of a Colt Detective Special with the serial S22XXX ? Also, would this be a second or third addition?

Your's was made in 1979.
The year stated off at S01001, and ended that year at S27028.

This would be a third model, depending on your standards of just what each generation is.
