Well, the apocalypse must been upon us: someone at Colt has actually listened to the market. Maybe it had something to do with the cubic yards of P238s SIG has been selling (could it be?) Also puts an end to the rumor that Colt sold or scrapped the Mustang tooling.

had one, great gun, somebody gave me a dumptruck full of $$ for it. Now cc with LCP but difference between the guns is huge. much prefer the colt even though it was heavier and s/a

As an owner of a PocketLite I commend Colt if they do resurrect this little pistol.
They are pretty neat little guns.
I differ from sansone as I much prefer to pocket carry my little Diamondback .380 over the Mustang PocketLite and the reason being is the sharp spur and hammer of the Mustang which was always gouging me and I never really felt comfortable with that hammer cocked even with the gun on safety as at least once I found that through movement in an IWB holster the safety got moved into fire postion which as one can imagine scared me pretty good.
Perhaps it was a holster issue more than the pistol but still...
I will say that my Colt is much more Robust in build over my Diamondback though and Colt will probably make a pretty good wad of cash out of this if they do it right.

Good news. Nice little guns.

The only 380s I ever owned were Colt Mustangs. I remember one having a problem though. If the slide was pulled back with the gun held sideways and the slide stop down, the slide stop would fall out. Hopefully they fixed that.

I hope they bring back the Pocket Nine in single action or at least fix the horrible DA trigger.

Not necessarily. In modern society anything can be recreated. All the companies making all the myriads of 1911 copies aren't running to the same machinery to make theirs ;).

Is this real?

Maybe they will and the price of the used ones will go down to almost reasonable now. Never had a Mustang but have a Pony and love it. used to carry it alot but bought a little taurus to carry instead. Like the Pony but at what they are selling for I was getting paranoid carrying it around all the time.

Where did you find out about this???
the pictures says gunblast.com and it's around the SHOT show time, so I'm guessing it was unveiled at the SHOT show and reported on Gunblast.com
ETA: I went to gunblast.com and there wasn't an article up on it. So not sure if it's to come out soon or what. I'm still going with my guess that it was unveiled at the SHOT show though.

I've always liked the mustang. I would consider adding another one, depending on price. Also, it will be interesting to see how this affects the price of used ones which I have seen go for $800.

Well, I see the value of my original lightly used Mustang Pocketlite about to decline.

Saw a used Mustang at the Lake Charles LA Gunshow...

Very nice little gun...$880 was asking price and he didn't seem too interested in negotiating. I loved the feel of the pistol but $880? Seriously?
