Hi guys, I'm new around these parts, but not new to guns. Anyhow, here is a complete breakdown of a Colt SAA, enjoy. I plan on doing a Ruger breakdown soon.

Do yourself a favor and get a set of fitted screwdrivers or bits before tackling the SAA. There are several different sized screws in the sixgun (five if I remember right) and use of the wrong size will forever booger up the heads.

I was going to comment, but couldn't figure out what my "profile" was. Here is what I was going to say:

It might be worth a note that some SAA Colts have one piece grips without a screw; to remove those, the backstrap has to be removed first, then the grips carefully pulled away from both back and front straps.
