Can someone educate me on the the most desirable of the Colt snakes? I've done some reading on the Pythons, Cobra and the Diamondback but I am still green.

"Vipers" are the rarest of the mass produced 'snakes'. (Alloy framed Police Positive Special from the 70's. There are steel framed versions of the gun with the same ramped front sight but they are NOT marked 'Viper'. Nickel versions are more $$ than blue and they rarely show up in auction.)

The "Boa" line was made in small numbers for a distributor and are essentially tuned/tweaked production models with a different rollmark.

Some King Cobra variations are now rivaling the value of Pythons.

I would have thought the Anaconda would be up there with the rare ones.

Jim Ive seen a lot of Anacondas for sale on auction sites, only a handful of Vipers and Boas.
