Commercial Beretta M9 locking block generation?

It has come to my attention that Issued Military M9's still use the 1st generation locking block due to technical data package (TDP) restrictions.

If I buy a new commercial M9 as a civilian will it have a 1st or 3rd generation locking block? If you have an M9 in your collection please chime in!

If you've got a recent commercial M9, you've got the 3rd gen lock block.

Hmmm. Have to do some research. Had no idea they had different gens. I will have to find out which gen mine is. I think i bought mine in 2013-2014
