So, does anyone want to admit to any superstitions, good luck charms or rituals they use to shoot better? Perhaps you have a set of grip panels off your pop's pistol, or listen to certain music on the drive to the range, or eat something special for breakfast?

The closest I come is making sure that my range bag/box is packed in exactly the same way each time. However, I'd classify that as merely an anal retentive habit more than anything else. If I'm shooting in a match I also make sure to get coffee from a little drive-up place on the way. Of course, that's mostly to stop the caffeine-withdrawal headaches and ensure I don't fall asleep during the drive.

Any lucky rabbit's feet dangling off your shooting coat?

I put a bullseye on my shooting coat (made by a old saddle maker), set it at 600 yds and put 3 round in the ten ring as a joke, but started shooting better from that day on. Wore it for four years after that and had the best time of my life while shooting. Gave it to a young shooter about three years ago and that kid has been kicking a$$ for a while now in SC.

Not superstitious, but I like a good breakfast, and I usually listen to some Disturbed or something like that on the way to the range. Gets me charged up.

But I would sacrifice chickens to the shooting gods if it would help. :p
