Condensation on guns coming in from the cold

If you read the original post you'll see that leaving it in the case was my original 'plan', but I found that it didn't keep it completely dry.

I’ve tried leaving them enclosed in their cases and let them warm up there, but the cases I have are not air tight and they still get some moisture on them and it takes longer to warm them up.

I assumed others had experienced the same thing... so I asked. :) And I'm thankful for the responses and suggestions.

Finding a zip-lok bag big enough for a rifle or shotgun might be a bit of a problem....:)

A simple hard-side case seems to restrict air movement enough to keep condensation from froming on my long guns as they warm up coming from the air conditioning out into the humidity. It doesn't have to be air-tight to trap the relatively dry air around the gun as it warms. But it takes a LONG time for a gun to warm when it's packed in a foam lined case.

I suppose if you really wanted to seal a case you could wrap it with the Saran Wrap type stuff they sell for packaging.
