I'm a newbie with AR's. Not only have I never owned or shot one, I've never even held one. Have very little interest in them actually, but figured if I ever might in the future, now was the time to buy before the coming poop storm as we approach Nov. Also a self proclaimed cheap bastard, PSA had a great sale on uppers. I ordered a complete upper from PSA two weeks ago. Placed the order on a Fri, arrived the following Thur. Pretty damn quick if you ask me.
I secularly followed a U-Tube video and the lower parts kit assembled itself nicely with no problems on my new $40 Anderson lower from AIM Surplus. Proud to announce no springs or pins were launched into orbit and both eyes are still intact and eagle sharp.
1000 rounds of Russia's steel cased best, also from AIM, are in the cabinet awaiting their chance to sacrifice their lives for me. I told you I was cheap. Once the temp comes up to a humanly bearable level above freezing, we shall commence initial testing at the local Speedo Proving Grounds.
It looks good, seems right, but as a previously outed newbie, what do I know? The proof shall be in the shooting. Hopefully all body parts will remain attached, functional, and good looking as ever.
