I found a great used GP100 4" SS today with the original grips that have the wood inserts. After I got home with it I decided to give it a good cleaning even though it looks brand new. I took off the grips and I noticed that the tang doesn't have the bottom strap that the mono grip would normally screw onto. If I wanted to change to the Hogue mono grip, how would I attach it to the tang?

PS Info.

On my SuperRedHawk, that is the same grip as the GP100, you also have to drive out the bottom plug/sleeve from the grip frame. Save that plug in case you put the factory grips back on.:eek::D

I'm unclear as to why you need to drive out anything. I took off the original Hogues, mounting bracket, placement pin (it slides out) and replaced it with the orlginal placement pin and installed the Letts.
