Hi All, is there interest in a CT meet up in the spring? I remember there was one a while back in Guilford. I've met some of the guys here and had a great time shooting with them. So does anyboy want to try it again?

I just want to see if it is worthwhile to try to set up a big meet in March. I don't know if my club would go for it on a saturday after the matches or not. if people are interested I could persue it. I've met Fine Red mist he showed me the only Glock I liked the trigger pull of. Romma I think I met in montville.
My plans were to try to set up an outdoor meet when the weather wasn't so lousy and I could check with the club where I shoot on how to do it correctly. I'll be off next weekend if you want to meet at my club's shoot. If you want to try inside I'm at a loss since New England Outfiiters closed down.

Ben, My club range is in Berlin just off of rt 5 behind the home depot. There is a pistol and pistol caliber carbine match scheduled for Saturday morning. The last one I tried to make was canceled due to freezing weather. Anyone is welcome to the matches (plate shooting) which are very fun but if you don't want to do that I can have 2 guests so we could meet after.
I shot at Wolf's in Bristol yesterday which was fine for an indoor range. It is pricey when you are used to going for free. But it was warm inside and cold outside.
I work odd hours and have time off during the week. If anybody wants to shoot during the week PM me I would be glad to meet. Also if anyone has a chance to meet the Quaker Hills guys take it. They are good guys.

Thanks, Pete. We like to think we are nice guys. I think members can bring up to 5 guests to QH, but I'll have to check. Myself and 280plus could bring a couple guest each. We have IDPA style matches on Saturday mornings that I have recently taken over. If you are in the area, drop me a note and I can bring you in as a guest.
Just plan a day in early-mid spring. Say April? Plenty of time to plan a get together. I am not a member of any club anymore, I shoot at home. But a club would be logical if someone will guest us...
Hey, I know it's kind of off topic, but this is as good a place to ask as any. I'm looking for a gunsmith somewhere in the new haven area (I'd go as far north as Hartford, or as far south as stamford if it helps). Any recommendations?
Try Jo Jo's in Southington. He was in New Britain as Joseph's Guns for a long time. Don't have the phone at hand, but he's on Swithboard under gunsmiths in Southington. Jodi does great work.
