Contaminated dog food recall

For those of us who have 4-legged partners in the defense of our homes, I wanted to post this message I received by email from the Humane Society. The company that makes Diamond dog food has recalled a large batch, it is contaminated with a bacteria which has caused the deaths of about 100 dogs so far. The story is dated January 10, 2006. This was on national news recently. More info on other "brands" (there were a couple of them) made by Diamond can be found on MSNBC.com. I'd never heard of Diamond before.

I exchanged my dogs food before Christmas. I heard this on the news again a few days ago and thought it happened again. Turns out it is the same instance just trying to get word out better because the problem was bigger than they thought. I would really hate to lose my guard dog, Pheonix, to kidney failure.
