CUP to PSI
Yes, there is ANSI/SAAMI PSI = -17,902 + 1.51 x ANSI/SAAMI CUP There have been several discussions at the AccurateReloading.com, -Forums-Reloading- section. All of them have been good reading. The latest is several pages back from the top page under the header of 'CUP and PSI'. The last posting date was 2/15/05 on page 11 at the bottom. It'll go to page 12 soon. Something to remember is that there is considerable error in either system. And it is kind of like comparing apples to oranges in that CUP(copper deformation) tends to measure a peak pressure over a longer interval of time(in millisecs) than PSI(piezo/oscilloscope) which measures pressure in shorter time intervals(in microsecs). Now to the ANSI/SAAMI mix of measures add in the Home (strain) measures like from Oehler's M-43 or the PressureTrace system and we have plenty to try to figure out and talk about. Best-o-Luck
