I don't know much at all about working on guns or how they function besides the minimums so please bare with me.
Now, what would one need to convert Stevens 620 shtogun in 16GA (or even 20GA) into a 12GA? Would it be something anyone can do on his dining room table with the necessary parts and a YouTube video for guidance? Or is it something any local gunsmith could easily take care of? Or is it more complicated than that?
Did the Stevens 620 ever come in 12GA? I've never see one for sale. If so are these 12GA models rare and/or expensive?
This is just brainstorming here. I don't plan on picking up and/or assembling a this scattergun anytime too soon. I am just seeking info for now.
I really like the 620 for it's takedown feature. Do any other shotguns have such a feature? That is a shotgun that could be set up for defensive use such as having an 18.5" barrel and an ammo tube with more than just a couple shells. I could cut to the chase by getting a gun set up how I want it right from he factory, that would save me time, money, and effort and really just be much simpler overall but I don't think I have heard of many other pump action takdeown shotguns.
Thanks in advance fellas, love this place. So much great info here from really knowledgeable folks!
