I have a Cooper 5 shot .31 caliber revolver that looks like an 1851 Navy but it was made double action and the rear sight is weird as it is on the tip of the hammer when it comes up in double action. It is not something from Italy as I have had it since 1949. It had a lot of blue when I got it but it gradually turned brown even with oil on it.
Serial # 3XX
Is it listed in any books for someone to tell me about it?. It is in my safe that I have not opened in years but guess I could open it as there are some dates on the barrel, it seems there was a 1870's date and a reissued date.
I would like to know more about it before thinking of a new home for it, and will dig my way to my safe to get the dates straight.
I also have a couple dozen Original Saeco Co 4 cavity round ball molds with handles from .320 to .451 new. And that is all of my black powder stuff left since someone wants my maxiball molds. Oh forgot several .58 Lee miniball molds.
