I have a Ruger LCR 357, after cleaning the gun today, I'm still left with some copper fouling on the barrel where it touches the cylinder. Very hard to get to area. Any ideas on how to remove the fouling?
I really like Hoppe's Elite copper solvent. It's a little thicker, almost gel-like, so it stays in place more easily. I have to say I've not had much problem with copper fouling in my revolvers. Is that normal?
To me copper fouling is in the bore. The link took me to Brownell's brass brushes. Good product, but unless we are talking naval rifles, hard to clean a bore with.
