Well the Alaska compound continues to take shape. Among other things I have learned not to underestimate the difficulties of stump removal.
I don't think I'll get to it this year, but next summer I'd love to build myself a pistol/rimfire range of about 25 yards. There's no zoning and no covenants on the property, but I do have a neighbor two lots away and common law nuisance applies. What I'm wondering is how hard it would be to build a half-buried range, and whether anyone knows of landscaping/noise reductions plans on line for such a range. Or a book that discusses it.
It would only be for .22LR, .38 Special, 9x19 and the like. Nothing too powerful or noisy.
I've got five acres to play with, so space isn't a problem.
