Currently deployed. Everytime I come back the cost of gas and ammo have gone up.
This time looks like gas is going crazy.
Can anyone tell me the cost of 9mm and 45acp and Wally World?
thanks

Hell, every time I use the bathroom I come out to find that the price of gas and ammo have gone up.

You are far from alone, my friend!

Honestly, I don't know on Wally World, but it is getting spendy most places. I bought a box of cheapie .40 S&W tonight for $17.50 per 50, and a box of 525 rounds of Remington .22LR for $18.98.

.223 is running about $9-10/box of 20 around here right now, and Wolf 7.62x39 (steel cased) is running $5/box of 20

(these prices were from my trip to Sportsman's Warehouse this evening, and their prices generally seem to be about the most competitive in my area).

Anyway, stay safe in the sandbox!

yellow box UMC 250 rds of 45 is running 82.00 here in Georgia. Last year they were freaking 64.00.

By the way, thanks for defending my freedom.

100 rounds of WWB 9mm from Wally World is about $18.50 or so in GA.

One gallon of gas is about $3.90.

The bad thing is, we'll look back at these prices in a few years and think, "Boy, those were the good old days!"

Make sure you come back in one piece, so you can enjoy these fantasic deals.

Comparable to wally world, last week 9mm $10/50, and $17/50 for 45 but I bought the last 4 boxes at $17 now it's $19, and gas is about $3.90 in NE Wa state (went up $.15 in 1 day). Thanks for your service!

i dont know anbout ammo prices in wally world, i will not support their anti-gun manuvers (video taping of gun purchases, amongst other things), but gas in my neck of the woods is $4.09.9! absoloutly rediculous! and the gas companies want you to think it is all about what they pay for oil, have you checked out their "gross profits" on any of their home web pages, under investor relations? can we say RIP-OFF!!!

.22lr federal bulk pack for $11.97
.380 got it for $29.66.
9mm is going for about $19.00 and change.
.40 is $26.88
.45 IIRC about $35.00.
00 Buckshot $9.27 for 15

And while people are preparing for $4.00 gas the diesel drivers are wondering when the nation will hit $5.00. In some places it already is a reality.......

Be interesting to know the cost of a 223 round in Iraq by the time it is bought on contract, shipped, issued fired etc. Probably about $20.

I don't like the price of fuel either, but I really get tired of the pixxing & moaning about it. :barf:

Might I suggest you buy their stock? (What a concept!):banghead:

Want the price of gasoline down? Here are 3 easy steps:
1) Strenghten the dollar versus foreign currencies - When was the last time you saw the Canadian dollar worth more than the US dollar?
2) Allow the construction of new refining facilities in the continental US.
3) remove the restrictions on drilling in CONUS and off shore as well as ANWAR.

It's easy to complain. It's a lot tougher to actually do something about it.:scrutiny:

BTW, it's the same Green Weenies mandating non-lead hunting projectiles, protecting the mountain lions and disallowing firearms in our National Parks that have crippled US crude oil and refined products production. :scrutiny::scrutiny:

Don't like it? DO something. :what: Get active, support NRA, write your congress critter, and above all - VOTE!!!

It can't hurt. :)

But please, quit the bitching.

<rant off>

There! Now I feel better.... :)

Gas is four, .22 is $14.99, don't buy any other calibers, haven't been off the dairy and into town in two weeks.

<Stepping up to soap-box>

Gross profits mean nothing. Look at their profit margin. When compared to other Fortune 500 companies, the gas companies are doing a little better than average.

Here's a great article on the subject from CNN Money. Scroll down to the section titled "Oil companies aren't as profitable as you think." According to the article, the average profit margin for the S&P 500 is 8.5%. The energy sector, of which oil companies are a large part of, is 9.7%. Google is reporting a 25% net profit margin. Should we have a "wind-fall tax" on Google?

People get too caught up in the dollar amount of profit that oil companies make. They have a large dollar profit because they have higher volumes. Let's put this into perspective. What if I had 100 X-Widgets that cost me $1 a piece to make, and I sold them for $2 each. I would have a $100 profit, with a profit margin of 100%. Then I have 100,000 Y-Widgets that also cost me $1 to make, but I sell them for $1.10 each. I would have a $10,000 profit, but a much lower profit margin.

You can't compare the two dollar amounts. The gross dollar amount profit is meaningless without looking at the percentage of the profit. When looking at the percentage, which seems more "un-fair", a 10% profit or a 100% profit?

wow, thank you for that link wdlsguy.. Found wolf 45 on sale and bought a case..

The shipping was 28$ !!!!!!!!

7.62x39 Wolf was $3.99 near me not too long ago, and now is $4.99

Remington 550rd 22LR is going for about 13-14 bucks at my closest wal-mart

I remember a long time ago before I really got into shooting (about two years ago) that the 550 round pack could almost be had for like seven bucks at the worst.
