Course Description:

The Night Operator course is an advanced course focusing on the development of operational, technical and sustainment skills in high risk low light/no light environments. Throughout the class, shooters will be driven to utilize hand held and weapon mounted lights for both Primary and Secondary weapons. For those students that posses NODs, after all the fundamental light work is complete we will give a NOD familiarization package including: NOD operations (controls, mounting, safety) and weapon configuration for low light/no light environments (flash hiders, IR lasers, VIS lasers) If students posses such equipment.


Course Duration: 2 Days



Course Cost: $665.00



Prerequisites: HE 01 and CE 01 or similar courses.

Subjects Covered:

Range work will include:

•Rapid threat acquisition and analysis
•The use of Hand held lights with Primary and Secondary weapons
•The use of the Primary as a light source for the Secondary weapon
•The use of weapon mounted lights with both weapon systems
•Partner Balance Of Speed An Accuracy drills with White light
•Multiple target engagement
•Natural and improvised shooting positions
•Weapon malfunction and clearance in low/no light
•Identifying targets utilizing ambient light/shadows while shooting/moving around obstacles with white light or NODs
•Shooting on the Move, and Team Movement drills
•NOD Movement drills (walking, running, obstacle navigation
•Adversaries with NVG capabilities



Recommended Equipment:

Students provide their own ammo: 1800 rounds of primary ammo - 400 rounds secondary
