I used it last year to get my 03FFL. The only thing that BATFE will do is send you a "Certification of Citizenship" form to fill out and mail back to them. Once they get that back, your form 7CR will be processed.
No, it's not. At least as of May 2005, when I got mine, BATFE was only accepting applications on forms they printed, not forms we can print off of the internet. You'll have to order some.
Make sure to order extras, and might as well have them send you the citizenship form too.
Ok, I went to the BATFE site provided above, and ordered my applications. Here are my questions. What is the difference between these two?
F 7CR (5310.16) - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms
F 5310.16 (F7CR) - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms
They appear the same, but are listed seperately. I ordered 2 of each just be on the safe side. Are they the same?
Also, I did not see where to order the citizenship form either. At least nothing that said citizenship in it. Am I simply missing it, or is it really not their? Thanks for any help.
You don't need the "Certificate of Compliance" (citizenship form) anymore if you have the new forms. It's been incorporated into the application (#10).

I used the form from Cruffler and got my C&R back in December.
The only hitch I had, was that I sent it to the BATF address on the form, which was a Texas address, and it was supposed to go to their office in Atlanta. I didn't know this until I got a letter from Atlanta telling me that they had received my application, but not my check.
I told them somebody with the BATF in Texas cashed my check already, and gave them the check number, and my license came a few weeks later.
I guess the folks in Texas cashed the check and forwarded the application on to an office closer to me and neglected to tell them that there had been a check enclosed.
