Smith & Wesson 637 in a Galco pancake holster. 110 grain .38 special JHP.

After tonights range session, going back to the Glock 19 with Cor-bon 115 grain 9mm +p JHP. It had a slightly misaligned sight, I asked the store I bought it from to adjust it for me (this is very easy for me, they are about 1 mile from my house). Guy accidentally adjusted it the wrong way. Made plenty of jokes at his expense. Went to the range with him, he adjusted it right. Now it is shooting correctly again.

Sig P228 w/ ProLoad 115gr+Ps, in an Uncle Mikes 3-slot pancake holster w/ thumb-break.

Daily Carry

My daily carry weapon is a Kimber Custom Defender II .45 ACP, 2 Chip McCormick 8 rd Power Mags loaded with Winchester 230 grain JHP's. The holster is a Gould and Goodrich IWB.
My back up is Beretta Model 21A in .22 cal. I keep it loaded with CCI Stingers.
My pocket knife is a Swiss Army electricians Knife I use at work. :)

cratz2- What kind of belt and holster setup do you use? I use a Sparks SSII and a Rosen belt, which works out very well. If you're ever up Norf give a hollar and you can try it on.

Usually opting the path well-travelled...

But at night or in the cooler seasons, I carry either a K9 or G19, honest! :D

Kel-Tec P-32 with belt clip and a Benchmade Mini Darkstar SBT. Total weight loaded? 13oz! That is fully loaded (7+1) and a 3 1/2" blade. Nice combo that can be worn anywhere all the time.

Oh! Wait! I meant a full sized Kimber custom with 6 extra mags and a .357mag snub as a back-up! Yeah right! You people don't carry those guns all the time.

Carry rig

Mine is an MK9 Elite loaded with Corbon 115gr +P, carried in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard with two seven round spare mags and a Kershaw Vapor. :D

Oh, and you are right Firestar. I work at a nuc power plant. Can't carry there, but as soon as I get off work...

SIG 220 with 230GR Fed. Hydrashoks, 1 or 2 spare mags

depending on what I'm doing and where I'm going. Sometimes a

Smith 442 as a backup. SIG in duty holster at work, and a Fist

IWB on my own time. Also carry Spyderco Endura 2, Surefire 6P,

a Kubotan keychain, and of course a cell phone. And yes I do

carry a full size gun all the time (even in Tn. hot/humid summer.)

P11 in a dental floss modified Uncle Mike's.

The 1911s don't really see much carry time lately.

I carry the Kahr in a High Noon Hidden Alley holster and and one of two cheap leather belts that I always wear. With the 1911, I also used a Summer Special 2. At one point I had a nice heavy 1.5" leather belt I bought at a gunshop but, sadly, I outgrew it a little bit. :p

I'm going to keep with the Kahr for a while and maybe give the Springfield Compact a chance whenever I get around to picking one up.

I left my Gerber under the house when I had to crawl deep down in there and dig the ancient cat mummy out of the insulation after one of our cats went missing and something dead started really stinking under there and I had my hands full with the mummy, and I couldn't find whatever it was that had recently crawled up there and died, and then our cat Clint (Eastwood) came home and the dead thing turned into flies and flew away so I really have no reason to go back under there and I'm not gonna do it just to conform to THR photo-op protocols, I'm sure you understand and isn't that a good excuse?

I'll just go to WalMart and buy another one for twenty-five bucks. Thanks for the reminder.

Umm, carry, and the reasons for it, are a personal thing.

A Hi Power, ammo, J frame, and knife(s) weigh a lot less than what I carry all day at work. And some folks carry a lot more than that. It can be, and is, done.

I do know some folks with genuine medical or similiar issues. I can understand if they can't do something, like wear a gun or grasp things with their hands. Time for some of that nasty hot coffee.

Currenty I cant carry.

Soon as I get back to Tucson it will be ole faithful

G19 in a Comp-Tac undercover. 15 rounds of Cor-Bon 115 gr +P

Spare 17 round mag loaded with the same riding in a Bianchi mag holder.

Am looking into a .45 though to take its place.

Browning Hi-Power loaded with 9mm NATO. Did a little self-customization work. :) Haven't put the rear white dot sight on yet. I tried the Uncle Mike's rubber grips modeled after the Spegel, but didn't like them because the gun is too slippery without the rubber in the front and rear and doesn't really get any thinner in the grip for concealability. Just wasn't worth it to me! Anyways, now I have two extra sets of UM's grips. ;) Couldn't stand the gold trigger, so it got changed to a chromed one and of course the magazine disconnect safety was removed long ago. I thought the gun was shooting left as I posted on the 1911 forums awhile back, but I found out it was just my crappy shooting technique.

Carry it with factory 13 rounders or 15 round Mec-Gar mags (pictured in the gun) and a spare or two in a sideways mag pouch. I currently have a Bianci Pistol Pocket for IWB, but don't like it because it doesn't cover the left side of the gun which digs into my side. I plan on special ordering a Sparks VM2 with a retention strap. I don't have a pic of my Swiss army knife ;) Backup piece is on the right; a 9mm American Derringer. Look they're fighting, I better separate them. :D I wanna get some stag grips for the derringer.

Nope. :) They are not varnished or covered with that urethane stuff. Hogue just puts a thin layer of carnuba wax on their wood grips. Whether you choose to keep waxing them is up to you as it will wear off.
I have Hogue smooth wood on a bunch of pistols and revolvers and even in Georgia's heat I have yet to have a problem.

I don't, I freely admit that.

Usually, I just carry my Cop .357 w/ 4 extra rounds in a tactical  Eddie Bauer belt pouch. :D

Hmm, ok. Personally, I'd never put smooth wood on a gun though. I don't even like the smooth wood on my derringer. I'm going to a stag grip since nobody makes rubber grips. Your grips look nice, but the grips on my derringer are just plain and blah dull. I really like the looks of a stag grip on derringers anyways.

My current primary carry pistol is an "enhanced" Colt Government Model with a Combat Elite slide. This pistol was cobbled together out of parts, and it is part of an experiment. I have never carried a blued pistol nor one with adjustable sights. While my NRM stainless 1991 is getting some work done to it, I decided to see how much wear the blued finish and adjustable sights will take as part of my daily carry routine in the humid Georgia summer. The attached picture shows my FrankenColt. It is carried in a Sparks Summer Special or Kramer IWB#2. Ammo is 230-grain Golden Saber.

My BUG is an S&W 342PD carried in a Kramer pocket holster. Ammo is Nyclad hollowpoint.
