I am fairly new to the reproduction old west guns but growing up Lonesome Dove was one of my favorite westerns. I remember Augustus McCrae carrying a Colt walker converted to cartridges and always wanted one. I have decided to have one built but have a few questions. I want to build a matched pair using Uberti walkers and kirst cartridge conversions. Why a matched pair? Because why not;). I see they will do install and action jobs.. Anyone have any experience with them is the action job worth it? These will be used a lot and I was told it is also a good idea to have the arbor issues corrected or have these gotten better? If not is that hard or expensive? Lastly I see Taylors offers one that is not finished as un blued etc... Any reason one of these couldn't be hard chromed? Not really concerned about the money but want to only have to build them once and have them last. I know a few on here have done a lot with these and thanks in advance!

Thanks guys looks like solid work. That's probably who will get my business I will be building these after boot camp
