If you have mods done to your semi auto handgun we would like to see them! We only see the stock guns so curious what you guys do to them after the sale! Thanks for all replies!

Well, here is one built by Andy Horvath for me from the box of Caspian & other parts I had: It's 9mm

Here is one I built many years ago, Colt frame & Caspian slide; 38 Super with 9mm conversion barrel. It started life as GM 9mm but I like long barrels, so it became a 6" a few years later.

Here is an old AMT Long Slide 7" with a few mods: Improved trigger, wide grip safety, tightened up some.

I have a few guns that I've had customized to different degrees. This Detonics CombatMaster is the most recent project. The trigger guard has been undercut, all of the edges broken, the mainspring housing recontured and blended to the frame, hammer bobbed, 11deg crown on muzzle, new Fusion carbon fiber trigger, action job and the entire gun bright polished excepot for the top strap. I finished it off with a set of thin Alumagrips. It's a great shooter and nice for carrying to events. The pics aren't so good, it's hard to capture the mirror finish.

My NRA Action Pistol 1911. I bought an unfitted slide and frame from Caspian and built the gun up myself.

The Glock I am using for general competition...It is a Model 17, Carver comp, ZEV Fulcum Trigger, Lone Wolf barrel.

Sean Smith,

Man I like that . . clean and well done.

Here's one I finished a few weeks ago. Fusion oversized frame/slide, Storm Lake ramped SS barrel, .40 S&W, all the small parts are forged. Don't ask how much it cost and how much time I have in it . . .

Springfiled Armory done by Ted Yost

My favorite 1911 I ever owned, my most accurate, and I traded it off....DANG! It started life as a nice SA Defender, but whilst at Gunsite, Ted Yost was there and did it up for me. It is awesome. Traded it for a Bertta M9, and an IAI Uzi, and a BUNCH of mags for both and a SA Champion. So I did get something out of it.

My M&P .45

Took off the Beaver Tale, Stipple Work, Did a trigger job on it. No Apex allowed. Polished the feed ramp and chamber a tad. Also polished the outside of the chamber a tad. Took 0000 steel wool to the slide and it popped nicely. Then did a little paint inlay. And some other detailing.

My latest project is a Kimber Stainless Pro Raptor II. Here's how it looked NIB when I bought it a couple of weeks ago ...

... and now after removing the firing pin safety and ambi thumb safety and replacing most of the parts with Ed Brown parts. I'd like to bob the frame, fit an Ed Brown chainlink MSH and finish the whole thing with black Cerakote. I'm going to put a few hundred rounds through it first which will give me time to figure out how to accurately locate the pin hole for the bobbed MSH.

Definitely the coolest gun Kimber produces!!

I agree with that! This Raptor has impressed me from the get go. The slide to frame fit is excellent, the barrel fit is excellent and the "raptor" checkering is functional allowing for a much better purchase on the slide. Even the thumb safety and trigger were very good from the factory. All in all a really good 1911 even in factory form. Here's what it looks like when it's all apart. Everything to the right of the grip safety has been replaced or removed, not because it needed to be but because I have a specific plan for this Raptor.

1858:

I had no idea what the name of all these parts were, now I know. That springy looking thing is the ribcage, and the rod that keeps it straight is the shoulder.

Nice

She shoots great.

Here are my Colt 1991A1 Commander, and my G26 that are both modded, and my mini draco which is next in line. I've already put a brake on the mini, and I'm looking at handguards now. Also need to do a standard fluff and buff on the internals and mating surfaces.
