So .457 is the size sold for 45/70 for a lee push through sizer. If one determines that .458 or .459 is desired/needed has anyone custom ordered one or modified one to work. It appears that track of the wolf is an approved reseller of modified lee dies. Anyone try one?

My son had a custom die made by lee. I don't know the exact details but they made what he wanted and had it back to him with in a week for about $30.

He just went to Mississippi to do some salt water fishing for two weeks.

I’ve ordered custom diameters from Lee. They simply hone the throat of the standard die to the desired diameter. Not a hassle, just waiting custom time for custom product.

I've also had Lee custom dies. Info should be available on their website. Last time was maybe 5 years ago. Sent them 3 fired rounds and $75. for mom-SAAMI caliber dies.

I honed mine out myself in about 5 minutes with some plumbers emory cloth wrapped around a drill bit. It's not rocket surgery!

Sounds like you're talking about cast bullet sizers, not dies. If not disregard the following.

I've purchased custom push through bullet sizers directly from Lee. Usually turnaround is about 2 weeks, could be longer right now.

Lee has stopped producing the old style push through for standard 7/8x14 press fitment. The type that had a catch bucket on top of the die.

They now have breech lock style sizes which have some pluses and minuses. It requires you to have either a breech lock style press already, or a press with 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" bushing to use their "update kit". The positive is once you buy the sizing die body, each additional size is only $20. Custom sizes can be made up to. 515" and @AJC1 they have sizes you may be interested listed as custom overruns (458, 459 and 460) on their site right now.

I had no idea that they stop making the ones with the red catch cans on the top that's what I have and that's what I use. I guess I should try and find the rest of the sizes that I need before they dry up?

Same here - I use the red can, push through dies for sizing my bullets. Not that they’re the only game in town, but for the cost and efficacy, they’re great.

I agree. Although, the website is confusing for the first time buyer. But, he now has kits to get one started.

Once one has the die body, the different size dies are under $10 each. Al will make you any size you want, just email him.

And, his push-through dies are spot-on. I've checked several with pins, and they are all on size.
