I need a sizer. I started powder coating my bullets that I cast out of range scrap I got from my dad's range. Was looking at the Lee push thru sizing kits as they are only around $20 or so. The NOE is a little more to get started, but I can also get a .458 sizer for my 45-70. Lee only sells a .457 sizer unless I order a custom sizing die.

Pros and cons of each? The NOE I think I need the die body kit, a sizing bushing, and a push rod? Thanks for any help.

Shak3S1977 I understand exactly where you are at. I just started casting myself and so far have bought 2 Lee push thru dies. One is a .356" and the other is a .452" and now looking for a .358" one. The two I have are working wonderfully and I got them both on ebay, one was $20.00 and the other was $21.00... At Titan reloading they are $19.48 plush shipping and because I am a Wis resident I pay sales tax as well so a new one ends up being closer to $30.00..

I did look into the NOE Sizer Die kit also and if you are going to be doing more than one or two sizes I think the price becomes a wash either way.

You may also want to look into Lees new system; https://leeprecision.com/app-automatic-processing-press/ https://leeprecision.com/breech-lock-bullet-sizing-kit/

NOE all the way. I've seen Lee sizers be +/- .002. They also have a small selection of sizes.

If you use camelcamelcamel to watch Amazon, you can have Lee sizers for ~$12 a piece. If you have a drill, a micrometer, and an hour, you can upsize them to whatever size you want.

So, for the cost of just a couple of NOE's sizers, I have a large set of Lee's, in +0.001 and+0.002 for 4 different calibers.

NOE bushings are $9.75 each.

I like having a complete sizer in individual calibers. This route works well if you decide to loan one out. You still have many to choose from. And as stated it is easy peasy to open up one of them for custom sizing.

As I recently started this activity my first mold was a .356" so I bought one Lee Sizer in .356" on ebay for $20.00 shipped and at that time I really didn't look at the NOE but did know I didn't think I needed a Lyman or RCBS Lube Sizer. I then picked up a .452" 45acp mold and another ebay Lee Sizer. Now because of an inheritance I have a 38Spl and have been looking for another mold and will most likely get another Lee Die and then I should be done.

This collection will work just fine for me though I could see were someone with a whole bunch of different sizes or adding gas checks I could easily see were the NOE would have a great advantage and actually become less costly than to keep buying individual Lee Dies. Then the other option of a Lube/Sizer.
